Stimulus loan helps Moon Hill Brewing keep 100 jobs

FITCHBURG – The North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. (NCMDC) – the economic development arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce – recently provided an Economic Stimulus Fund (ERF) loan of $ 50,000 to Rick Walton, owner of Moon Hill Brewing in Gardner.

The ERF program, funded by contributions received from local community banks and credit unions, was launched by the NCMDC to help small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moon Hill Brewing Co. started in 2006 at Gardner Ale House craft brewery, a longtime staple in the community. The two are located at 74 Parker St. in Gardner and together make up the only full menu brasserie in north central Massachusetts and Worcester County. Moon Hill has 14 craft beers that can be found on tap at the Gardner Ale House as well as many local pubs and restaurants.
