Exclusive: Webull Crypto to Offer Dogecoin to Clients on April 20 – Doge’s Day
Dogecoin was one of the hottest cryptocurrencies in 2021 and is seeing high demand from retail traders looking to buy, sell and hold memes-based crypto.
Webull is currently testing Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) for its crypto clients and plans to roll out the cryptocurrency to all clients on April 20.
Check out Benzinga’s “Power Hour” YouTube show on Monday to learn more about adding Webull to Dogecoin trading.
Webull Adding Dogecoin: Webull CEO Anthony Denier told Benzinga on Monday that the trading platform plans to offer Dogecoin to its cryptocurrency clients.
“Webull Crypto has tested and is currently testing Dogecoin,” Denier said.
The crypto was tested with some customers last week as part of a beta test.
The introduction of Dogecoin on Webull is “purely on demand,” he said.
The tests went well, Denier told Benzinga.
“Dogecoin was by far the most requested cryptocurrency that we are adding to the platform.”
Demand for Dogecoin has been strong from beta testers, and the company expects it to be active when it rolls out to all customers.
“People open accounts just to open an account when we launch it.”
Denier told Benzinga that the launch of Dogecoin is done by listening to the wants and demands of customers and not competing against any of the firm’s rivals.
Denier will appear on “Power Hour” Tuesday afternoon.

And after: Webull’s goal was to make Dogecoin available on the crypto platform in time for “DogeDay” on April 20.
The plan is to open Dogecoin trading to all Webull crypto clients by 1 a.m.ET on April 20. Some clients may be able to trade Dogecoin as early as Monday evening after the US markets close.
Other cryptocurrencies are being tested by Webull Crypto, Denier said.
“We put Dogecoin in the lead due to customer demand.”
About a third of Webull brokerage clients also have Webull Crypto accounts, the CEO said.
Webull saw tremendous growth in the first quarter in terms of revenue and new accounts opened. Denier said the quarter was phenomenal for Webull and the industry as a whole.
“To put it in context, we opened the same number of accounts in the first quarter of 2021 as we did in the year 2020.”
DOGE price action: Dogecoin was trading at 0.372124 cents on the last check on Monday.
